Terms of Service

The rules for using LaxoPay accounts, applications, the dashboard, and the test payments API.

Agreement

Creating an account, sending an application, or calling the API means you agree to these terms and to the privacy notice. If you use LaxoPay for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that business.

The service

LaxoPay provides a merchant application, a dashboard, and a test payments API at api.laxopay.com/v1. A successful test payment updates a test ledger. It does not move funds and it does not charge a card network. Live card charging is not connected.

An approved application receives a test key, shown once. A live key is created in a disabled state and its plaintext is discarded. Calling a disabled live key returns live_mode_unavailable. Approval is a decision about the application. It is not a license, a network certification, or a promise that live acquiring will be turned on.

Accounts

• You provide a name, an email address, and a password of 10 to 72 characters.
• You keep the password, API keys, and webhook secrets private, and you tell us if you believe one of them has leaked.
• The confirmation link expires after 24 hours. The password reset link expires after 1 hour. A session lasts 14 days.
• We may reject a signup, or close an account, that breaks these terms or that overloads the service.

Applications

You are responsible for the accuracy of the legal name, trading name, country, website, business type, category, description, volume band, representative, and settlement details you submit. You can save the application and return to it. After you submit it, a reviewer can mark it in review, needs information, approved, or declined, and can leave a note you can read.

The application does not collect a bank account number. Payout details on the form are the account holder, the country, and the settlement currency. We may refuse an application that is incomplete or that we cannot review.

Fees on the test ledger

The prices below are the prices printed on the pricing page. They are applied to the test ledger. They are not a bill from a card network.

• Starter is $0 a month, then 2.9% + $0.30. A $100 Starter payment records a fee of $3.20.
• Growth is $49 a month, or $490 a year. The yearly price is two months off the platform fee only. The processing rate is 2.4% + $0.30 and does not change with the yearly price. A $100 Growth payment records a fee of $2.70.
• Enterprise is custom. Until a custom rate is stored, the test ledger uses the Growth rate of 2.4% + $0.30.
• A payment in a currency other than the settlement currency adds 1.5%. Fees are rounded half up.
• A refund returns the payment amount. The fee already recorded on the ledger is not returned.
• A chargeback is a $15 record on the ledger. LaxoPay does not file that record with a card network.
• Payouts are reviewed and then marked paid by an operator. There is no instant payout and no promise of a free payout worldwide.

API and webhooks

Test requests use Authorization: Bearer with a test key. Amounts are in minor units. Currency is an ISO 4217 code. An Idempotency-Key is honored for 24 hours. Reusing the key with a different body returns 409.

Only the test number 4242424242424242 succeeds. Any other number, including 4000000000000002, declines. Those numbers must not be real card numbers. Do not send real cardholder data to the test API or type it into a LaxoPay field.

Webhooks are signed with HMAC-SHA256 over the timestamp, a period, and the raw body. The header is LaxoPay-Signature. Delivery is attempted immediately, then after 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 30 minutes, and then it stops. You are responsible for the URL you register and for checking the signature before you trust the event.

Acceptable use

• Do not present a test payment to a buyer as a completed live charge.
• Do not use the service for unlawful payments, fraud, or to store payment card numbers.
• Do not probe, overload, or attempt to bypass access controls on the site or the API.
• Do not share an operator account or attempt to enter the review screen without that role.

Availability and changes

The site and the test API are provided as available. We may change features, fees on the test ledger, or these terms. The date on this page moves when the terms change. We do not publish an uptime figure, a volume figure, or a customer count.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the site and ask us to close your account by contacting support. We may suspend or close access when needed to protect the service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law or a regulator, or address an unpaid amount or security issue. We will give notice where it is lawful and practical to do so. Closing an account does not remove obligations that by their nature continue, including confidentiality, payment records, acceptable use, liability limits, and dispute terms.

Your content and our rights

You keep the rights to information and materials you submit. You give LaxoPay the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and transmit that material to provide the service. LaxoPay and its licensors own the site, API, documentation, software, and brand. You may use them only as these terms allow.

Responsibility

Test mode does not create a balance that LaxoPay owes you in live funds. To the extent the law allows, LaxoPay is not liable for profit you expected a test payment to settle, interruption, loss of data caused by your systems, or a decision to approve or decline an application. Nothing on this page limits a liability the law does not allow to be limited.

Complaints and governing law

Contact [email protected] with a complaint and include the account email, relevant request id, and a short description. We will review it under the process that applies to the service and your location. These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, except where mandatory rules require otherwise.

General

These terms and the linked policies are the agreement for the LaxoPay site and test workspace. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account without our written consent; we may transfer these terms as part of a business reorganisation or service transfer. We may send notices to the email address on the account or publish them on the site.
